What type of
Auction is a Swap Meet? A swap meet is like an auction
only no money is exchanged.
This is a complete online barter
system. The submitter really
wants to trade his/her treasure for
someone else's.
Who decides who
wins? The decision is
completely arbitrary. The
submitter can choose which ever
offer he or she likes best or choose
no winner. At the Swap Meet
the submitter is completely in
control.
What happens at the
end of the swap meet? The
submitter will declare a winner if
their is one. Then the
submitter will mail their item to
the winner while the winner mails
their item to the submitter.
Each party is responsible for their
own mailing expenses. Both
parties can decide other
arrangements for swapping of the
items. It is all up to you at
the Swap Meet.
Busy Mama does
not participate in the actual trading transaction. Busy
Mama is just a listing service. We are not responsible for
any aspect of the trade or veracity of the information. We
will however ban posters who abuse the system. Report

The Answers:
Auction!!!!
What type of
Auction is this? This is a casual auction. The
submitters are trying to see if the items they are selling have
value. Often, they are in a situation in which they must
liquidate and are trying to get the best offers for their items.
Are
bidders obligated to buy when submitting a bid? Yes.
However, we would hope that you would only bid on things that you
want and that you have the funds to pay. If you do not really
want it, do not bid. If you do not have the money do not bid.
Remember, the seller will get a chance to rank, the highest bidder.
Refusing to complete deals will get you ranked lower.
Are
sellers bound to sell when posting an auction? Yes, if high bid
is above the holdout amount. Many of
our sellers are trying to liquidate and cannot sell under certain
amounts (hold out number). In these cases, the seller does not have
to sell the item. Some find that the bids are just to low.
They too can refuse to sell. However, sellers too will be
ranked. Refusing to sell can impair your rankings.
We now have
added the hold out feature. If you use the holdout feature,
you are obligated to sell to the highest bidder which exceeds this
hidden amount.
How much
does it cost to post an item? It cost only $0.00 ( no
money) to post an
item to Busy Mama. The posting allows for 1 picture maximum size
300 pixels x 225 pixels. There is
no extra charge for selling the
item, holdouts (reserves), etc.
How do you pay or
get paid for an item? Each seller handles the transaction
via PayPal or however they choose to with the buyer. We
believe that sellers and buyers should use
PayPal to protect each
other from Fraud. Busy Mama does not participate in the actual
selling transaction. Busy Mama is a listing service. We
will however ban posters who abuse
the system. Report
