Tips to make the outside of the house look larger
by: Handy Mama
When choosing an exterior paint color it is always good to remember what you want to accomplish -tall or wide

Painting vertical elements such as doors, shutters and corner trim in a color that offers a light or dark contrast to the siding color, makes a low wide house look better proportioned.

If you paint horizontal elements like window sills, foundations, flower boxes, fashia boards or roofline gutters a light or dark contrast to the siding makes a tall narrow house look like it is better proportioned.
