Finding a match to old molding

Ever need to replace molding in an older home but do not think that you can find it.

Sometimes it may just be in your closet. Check the closet in that room. If it matches remove and replace it with any type of molding. The fact that it does not matche will not matter in the closet.

No luck. Take a picture of the existing molding to your local hardware store. They may know of ways to create or match the molding. They may also no vintage manufacturers who could match the molding.
